Mrs. Rivera´s Neighborhood
Mrs. Rivera´s neighborhood is a popular city that it
is located to the South of Mexico city. She lives in a building on the 3th
floor, above Mrs. Gonzales who lives in the second one, they say that they are
very happy to live there because there are many places to go. For example they
say that there are two banks, there is one drugstore between the hospital and a
big school, there is a park behind the church, there is a pizza shop between the
two banks. They can get everything in the shopping mall that is very near their
home. So you can find everything around the neighborhood.

1.- How to use
language in authentic way?
Students need as much possible to hear and read the
language as native speaker, it is not advisible to speak slow because can
distort the subtle shiftts in pronuciation that occur in naturally paced
speech.
2.- How to provide
context?
The context includes knowledge of the topic or content,
this one must be meaningful, the vocabulary must be connected with the tipic we
are talking about and teachers cam help students asking them, “how much do ypou
know about the topic?
We can have students
predict from the topic or heading of a reading selection or opening line of a
listening section.
